The General Services Administration (GSA) is sponsoring a new campaign for Challenge.gov that aims to expand the pool of higher education-based respondents to Federal challenges by discovering which digital platforms are best – and worst – to promote government competition outreach.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is working to close the city’s device gap. Through a partnership with World Business Chicago, the city is launching Chi Device Donation Month. The month-long campaign encourages Chicago’s business community and large organizations to donate computers and laptops no longer in use to be refurbished and given to families who need a device.

The Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has announced a second round of funding of nearly $1 billion to expand Internet access and adoption on Tribal Lands.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced a new $55 million funding round for its Emergency Connectivity Program (ECP) that can be used to support broadband technologies for off-campus learning, such as nightly homework, and summertime online learning programs to ensure students have the support needed to keep up with their education. 

The Biden-Harris administration unveiled its long-awaited National Cyber Workforce and Education Strategy (NCWES) today, securing commitments from 37 stakeholders – like the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) – to increase the number of Americans in “good-paying, middle-class” cyber jobs.
