The City of Pinole, Calif., has announced the launch of eTRAKiT, the city’s new and fully integrated online permitting and licensing system.

The city said in a press release that this significant upgrade will “streamline the application and tracking process for permits related to Building, Public Works, Planning, and Business Licenses.” The city said the upgrade will offer its customers a more efficient and user-friendly experience.

With the new permitting and licensing system, residents and business owners can now manage their permits and licenses entirely online, eliminating the need for paper and email applications.

With the new system, residents and business owners can expect:

  • Instant permits for Residential Solar and Energy Storage Systems.
  • Express permits for certain residential work issued within 2-3 business days.
  • Quick turnaround for simple permits such as reroofing, water heaters, HVAC units, and service panel replacements.
  • Full online integration to ensure no more missed emails by allowing users to manage everything within their online account.
  • 24/7 access by allowing users to apply for permits, check application status, schedule inspections, and receive results anytime and anywhere.
  • Applications for Building, Planning, and Public Works permits are now exclusively online; paper and email applications will no longer be accepted.

To assist customers, complete detailed instructions are available on the website for various project types.

“We are confident that eTRAKiT will greatly enhance the permitting and licensing process, providing a seamless experience for all users. We encourage our valued customers to explore the new system and take advantage of its numerous benefits,” the city said in a statement.
