The National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) today announced 30 finalists for its State IT Recognition Awards.
The awards, which include 10 different categories, reward innovation in the “use of information technology to address critical business problems, more easily connect citizens to their government, improve business processes and create new opportunities that improve the lives of citizens.”
The finalists for the State IT Recognition Awards are:

A panel of NASCIO members judged more than 130 submissions before selecting the finalists. NASCIO said that the award winners will be announced at the upcoming NASCIO Annual Conference this October in Nashville, Tenn. NASCIO also explained that in the interest of sharing best practices across state lines, all award submissions will be added to NASCIO’s awards library by late September.
