Fullerton College, a community college in California, announced that it will be launching its first-ever Bachelor of Science degree program in drones and autonomous systems in Fall 2026. This new degree marks the school’s first and only bachelor’s degree program.

The college said the new program will provide students with the education, knowledge and hands-on experience needed for a career in the field of drones and autonomous technology.

The new bachelor’s degree will join the Fullerton Drone Lab, the official comprehensive drone technology and pilot training program at Fullerton College. The Drone Lab already includes two associate degrees and four certificates.

“Being able to provide this level of training in such a growing tech field will be transformative for both our students and for the industry,” said Jay Seidel, a professor and the director of the Drone Lab. “Students will be able to learn and develop quality skills and earn a bachelor’s degree in technology at an affordable price, thus making college more attainable for a greater number of students.”
