Colorado State University (CSU) announced that the school will decommission its RAMmobile mobile app at the end of this month.

The app has served as a centralized hub for certain campus resources. The university said that all essential services previously accessed through the app will remain available through direct links on official university websites.

CSU said that the decision to discontinue RAMmobile was made after reviewing the app’s usage and considering current resource allocations. After examining the data, CSU found that app usage had declined as students and staff increasingly accessed information directly through websites and other platforms.

In a bid to best allocate limited resources, CSU decided to redirect resources from maintaining the app to enhancing other services more widely used by the campus community.

The school said the reallocation of resources will allow its Division of IT to focus on improving the tools and platforms that best serve the current needs of CSU students, faculty, and staff.
