Tiffin University, in Tiffin, Ohio, is rolling out a new university-wide video platform to facilitate hybrid and distance learning.
The university, which has more than 3,000 students, was looking to modernize its classrooms, so it turned to YuJa’s Enterprise Video Platform. As part of the deployment, Tiffin installed in-room hardware that integrates with the cameras and microphones. The hardware is coupled with a scalable, cloud-based, end-to-end video platform.
The school is relying on the YuJa Hardware Hub, which is a multi-device audio/visual encoder that enables simultaneous lecture capture and live streaming. In a press release, Yuja explained that the Hardware Hub integrates with existing peripherals for high-fidelity audio and video recording that can be centrally managed by administrators.
“The hardware is completely automated, so instructors can teach their courses without worrying about the technology,” said Nathan Arora, chief business officer of YuJa. “Introducing new technology can be a challenge, but the Video Platform removes barriers and reduces the learning curve.”
The video platform integrates with Moodle, Tiffin’s existing Learning Management System. “It also will provide users with secure on-demand streaming, video quizzing and storage capabilities, video engagement tools, and a broad array of classroom recording and compliance tools,” Yuja said in a press release.
