Delaware CIO Greg Lane brought his 30-plus year career at DuPont and its chemical business to Dover when Gov. John Carney appointed him as new state CIO and director of the Department of Technology and Information (DTI) last June.

As part of the new academic year, schools across the state of Delaware will launch a new School Safety and Wellness Suite that the state says incorporates a comprehensive approach to alert administrators of serious situations while providing students with the necessary tools and resources to prevent or deter a situation from escalating.

The U.S. Department of Treasury has approved Federal funding for broadband infrastructure projects in Delaware and Idaho. The funds come from the American Rescue Plan’s Capital Projects Fund (CPF), part of President Biden’s Investing in America Agenda.

As flu season gets underway, the Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH) has launched the My Healthy Community (MHC) flu dashboard. The dashboard shares weekly and seasonal data on positive cases, hospitalizations, deaths, and, for the first time, vaccinations in the state.

The Delaware state Department of Technology and Information (DTI) on May 5 announced two new key appointments – Jordan Schulties as chief of administration, and Tammy Shelton as Delaware broadband infrastructure grant manager.
