The Senate Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, Innovation, and the Internet took a deep dive look at the future of broadband in the United States during a hearing on Tuesday.

Verizon recently announced plans to build a dedicated network core for the public safety sector. In a press release, Verizon said it is reaffirming its decades-long commitment to public safety.
