Today, IBM announced that it would be introducing in-kind grants to six school districts valued at $3 million to boost cybersecurity in schools. The grants will be for the school districts to sponsor teams of “IBMers” to assist in proactively preparing for cyberattacks.

New technology updates in College of Idaho classrooms have helped improve remote learning capabilities, including new audio and visual technology to help students and faculty until classrooms open back up for in-person instruction.

Following the state releasing its final biennial budget, North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) announced funding wins for the state’s community colleges, and noted that the $1.46 billion  investment in the community college system is the largest received over the past decade.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) needs to gather additional data on how its program that helps ensure universal access to broadband service in rural, remote, and other areas of the country is working, and data to help drive decisions on effective use of available funds, a Government Accountability Office (GAO) report said.

A survey released by the Center for Democracy and Technology (CDT), found that there is a need to provide improved student privacy support to teachers, parents, and students – with almost half of teachers reporting that they have received no substantive training on data privacy.
