The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced that the department is investing $58 million in Tribal communities in Nevada, Oklahoma and South Dakota to support economic development, high-speed internet deployment, and modern infrastructure.

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel announced that the commission intends to recharter the Precision Agriculture Connectivity Task Force for a third and final term.

Farmers are concerned about some aspects of the Federal Aviation Administration’s recent regulations regarding unmanned aerial vehicles. Robert Blair, vice president of agriculture for Measure, one of the nation’s leading drone operators, specifically addressed the regulation that states a UAV operator must fly his or her drone within a line of sight.
